Good price for an 8 port metal GB switch. Wish the ports were in the back though.

As often happens, Amazon advertises one price and when you get to the Amazon site the price is higher. This is the case here.
Amazon gives you a 2$ coupon to check to make it the lower price

I'd love it if I could find a 16 port one about 2X the price. They just don't seem to drop in price as much...

Not sure, but here's the datasheet for both of them. Somewhat hard to compare since the older datasheet does not specify as much info.

According to an employee, here are the differences: https://community.netgear.com/t5/...true#M1200

V1: http://www.downloads.netgear.com/...4Apr14.pdf

V3: https://www.netgear.com/images/da...bit_DS.pdf

So I am seeing that the V3 has a larger MAC table and slightly smaller buffer. Not sure if this is considered an upgrade, downgrade or distinction without a real world difference.

So is the newer Version of GS308 worth the extra $1.xx?
