Slammed 15 bags in my 4 door civic today.

Just a recommendation for those who do not have a truck. Bring a tarp or something to lay the mulch on. The bags are wet and will leak a liquid that may likely stain your carpet or concrete.

I'll comment again as I do usually if I catch this posted!:

Please read the "Cautions" and "Uses" on the back of the bag. After I read the back of a bag, I found that I could not use the mulch on my transplanted butterfly & rose bushes, and established Rhododendrons and Hydraneas without risking injury.

IF YOU ARE SEEING A HIGHER PRICE:

After you click on the link and see the higher price: search again within the site. I found black and red available at the sale price but NOT with the links in the OP. These are the links for me:
BLACK [lowes.com]
RED [lowes.com]

Likewise, I've been using this around my rose bushes and other plant beds for years without a single issue.

It states more of transplanted bushes (recently transplanted) and too much preen around the rootbase of rhodo/Hydraneas CAN hurt the plant. I preened super early once on the top area of my 3year old rho and it never bloomed, dying before summer. It's more of a warning that it can happen!

it's a local ad sale. So if it's not in your ad. Then most likely no deal.

I've been using this product for years and all my flower beds and my roses have never been affected actually lately there blooming so much it's unbelievable.the only thing that I could think of is that maybe you have a lot of mulch up against the stems of the plants and roses I make sure I keep it at least 6 inches away from stems of any plant because if not it just causes major problems hope this helps you.

It thankfully only hit the Rho badly using the preen and preen mulch next to stems. I usually mulch close to root base and have only been using the Triple Shred for years because of my fear of losing more. I'm in Michigan and I have to mulch near stems as we get buds and frost's interchangeably. It's the best way to protect them before frost nights stop! But thank you I appreciate it! The warnings on the bag are just precaution, and it may be a chance at harming than always. Smilie
