Well that's messed up. You are supposed to be able to do an in-store return for online purchases.

Return to Store:

For your convenience, items purchased on homedepot.com can be returned to any of our retail stores nationwide.

Credit will be issued in-store at time of return and no return shipping charges will be incurred. *
To enable quick processing of your return, please bring with you a copy of your bar coded shipping confirmation email or the credit card used to make the purchase.

10$ more for a stronger impact wrench with an extra larger battery and a faster charger, plus Ridgid LSA on top of it.
really no comparison there...

Do you have a bunch of Dewalt 20v tools and batteries? Also are you using it daily for work or for home/hobby or occasional work?

The Ridgid outspec's the Dewalt in every way. Higher torque, higher IPM, higher RPM. Plus two batteries (one 6ah) and a better charger (Dewalt charger is their low end kit charger, Ridgid is the best single battery charger they make). Just looking at price it's no contest, the Ridgid is the better deal.

But if you use it for work and are already in the Dewalt platform, it might be easier to keep on the same platform. Also I don't know how well the Ridgid would hold up to daily use and abuse, but it does have a lifetime warranty to cover it.

thanks, I do not in the dewalt family yet. I have only 2 bosch driver/drill 12V version.
Main purpose of a impact wrench is do some weekend project on cars.

Mine just arrived and it's the old package too. Not looking to flip mine so no big deal for me, but still a little annoying. Box looks so out of place with the others Big Grin

Then get the Ridgid, hands down. Ridgid Octane is a great line for the price.

I mean, in theory, but honestly Dewalt has been sitting on their butts lately while other companies pass them by. If you feel like you need to go up a level from Ridgid, skip Dewalt and get Milwaukee.

it's subjective and in all honesty, they're close enough that it doesn't matter. there's certain tools that DeWalt has that i like to use more, like their Oscillating tool and Jigsaw, but for normal drills, impacts, saws... i use all Ridgid.
if you care what people think, sure buy DeWalt if you want to impress you neighbor that doesn't know anything, or buy Milwaukee if you want to really show off "i have loads of money to throw at commercial grade tools". but in the end, Ridgid is going to do everything and anything you ask of it.

fantastic deal, jumped on it as soon as it was posted... been waiting for the smaller Octane stuff to go on sale.
Really surprised that Home Depot honored an obvious pricing mistake. If it was Lowes, it would have been cancelled.

yeah, HD doesn't care about anything... this happens every so often, where adding a specific tool drops the price below the sale bundle price. it happened with a circular saw once before, that was a pretty crazy deal too.
the one i was amazed they honored was the 4 battery (2 4Ah, 2 2Ah) deal through Google Express where they listed it as the price of 1 battery, WITH a dual port charger... that i was thoroughly amazed they even entertained sending out Wink still pretty annoyed Google Express screwed me on that one... man i hate Google Express.

Lowes, yeah, they cancel for anything and everything... they can be a real PITA to deal with. their managers can be downright nasty too...
