Home Depot is currently running a promotion where you get a free bare tool or battery with the purchase of the AC805 18v starter kit. If you view through HD app or HD site, you'll find they have 'bundles' for $179 - however, if you choose the stand-alone AC805 and then add the 9Ah battery, OTD price dropped to $109.
Note that the 3Ah and 6Ah batteries are covered by LSA.

Worked. I have a Ridgid circ saw that been collecting dust for a while, some new batteries will get that back off the shelf. Wonder if any other version of this will work?

Just a heads up, the batteries are only covered under LSA if they are actually part of a kit. Batteries outside the kits have just the 3 year warranty. (Just like the op kinda said) Smilie

I was trying to bring it up in their forums, but it looks like their forum site might be having some issues [ridgidforum.com]. Smilie I wouldn't mind a 9AH battery though... that is for sure.

Maybe since its considered a kit, they will cover it which would rock.

Yeah the 9AH battery winds up being prorated for 38 bucks, the 3 and 6 kit 70. 3 and 6 would get lifetime coverage. I'm cool with less warranty for 38 bucks.

I can understand that.. I have a bunch of 3 & 6'ers, but these batteries just have a way of perishing on me too quick. Happened with all my Ryobi's, even though I cycle them. Hence the switch to Ridgid which I guess is the same company.

Add: Li-ion batteries with my tools perish quick, oddly not ONE of my Ridgid batteries have died. I think I have two 3's and four 6's... and some of their 12v.

This fortunately is not true despite what HD may say. We have LSA on two bare battery kits. Attached is picture for proof.

This seems to come up in every Ridgid thread, so I hope this information helps someone! Smilie

Maybe I'm taking what you're saying wrong. But, there are 2 different products: A battery kit (battery & charger) and then a bare battery.

9.0 kit, as shown in your pic, which HD notates comes w/ LSA, AC801: https://www.homedepot.com/p/RIDGI.../304740781

9.0 bare battery from this deal, which says 3 year warranty, AC8400809: https://www.homedepot.com/p/RIDGI.../304350789

BRILLIANT! It worked. Tried on a few other tools added to starter kit, it did not work for me.
