Device only controls 1 door opener. Must purchase a unit for each door opener you wish to control.

I got this last round for this price, decided to return it.

Too many problems... install was easy, but this is what I ran into.

1) When the thing was connected to the garage door to open it with the app, my wireless openers (The one built into my car and the external remote that came with it) stopped working properly. I had to be incredibly close to the door and press the button ten times for it to work. The hard wired button in the garage worked fine. You can just not plug in those wires and not use the remote feature in the app, essentially using it for notifications only but...

2) The door sensor kept giving me false alarms. When the door was closed it was fine, but when open... I would randomly get rapid fire door open/closed/open/closed notifications. These happened so often that it would not register for the 15 minute to give me the extended garage door open warning, which was the whole point of me having this thing. Even if the garage door opener wasn't connected for remote opening, I only really wanted this thing for the 15 minute open warning, and it was not working. It is worth noting that I tried three different positions for the sensor. I placed it on the top of the door, on the right side, and the left side. It works with a magnet that must be within 3cm of the sensor for it to register as open/closed, and nothing is close to the sensor when the door is open . So I have no idea what keeps triggering the sensor only when the door is open.

Overall, pretty much trash. There are a lot of amazon reviews that are positive, but a few negative ones that mirror my experience.

True.. closing the door wasn't the issue... compulsive urges to check a door that was always closed was... 😉

So what's the difference between this and other ones that are regularly priced at 39.99? That one uses the Smart Life app, which I already have for some smart plugs. So should I stick with Smart life or have yet another app sucking life out of my phone?

I picked this up the last time there was a deal, and it is well worth the money. Several times per week I would have to turn around because I could not remember if I closed the garage door, but with this, I know whether I did or did not.
Setup was very simple, and the wifi radio is stronger than I had thought it would be. My only gripe, be it a minor one, is that it reduces the range of the actual garage door remote. With this unit hooked up, the range of my garage door remote has been reduced by approx 20 feet. Not huge since I use the app, but could be an issue to some.

Like I mentioned in my previous post... you could always just use it for the sensor and not for remotely controlling the garage door, and then you'd regain the distance on the remote

For those of you running into interference, have you considered wiring it at the wall switch instead of directly into the garage opener? I was going to do this to avoid a ladder and wiring it into the garage opener to begin with.

Would this solve the interference problem? Any reasons this would not work?

The description says they have solved the interference problem. They ask that anybody still having the problem contact them. Any input on this from those who are using it?

I got this during the previous deal and it works great!
App is simple and notifications are fast when there's an event.

I picked it up during the last sale. It works great. The only complaint I have is the amount of time it takes to get a notification. Also, running the wire for the sensor can be a bit of a pain.
