Navi is right around the corner though firm details aren't known yet. But personally I would hold off.

I like this; finally something to replace my (admittedly long gone / 2 months now) R9 390X. Previous good experience with the Sapphire line OC'ing with OTB software if that's your jam.

MSRP from launch is not a deal.

If you need it get it, but there are better options coming

There's a reason Gigabyte cards are cheaper than others and have bad reviews. Details on it here [reddit.com] and here [reddit.com], but basically they had manufacturing flaws that led to overheating and failing cards. It may have been fixed but people don't want to risk it.

I've had bad luck with 2 Gigabyte cards a 1070 and a vega 56 and would recommend avoiding them.

Wasn't the Vega 56 launched at $399 and Vega 64 at $499? I couldn't find sources stating otherwise.

They're old cards yes but the value is still good, especially if you want these games or sell them. Navi is rumored to deliver performance for cheaper. Wait if you can, buy now if you need.

Launch navi is rumored to slot under Vega 7 as a replacement for Polaris.

To me, four hundred bucks is a lot of money to spend on a video card. But hey, people buy i-phones for more cash. I'll keep waiting for a Vega 56 or Sapphire RX 580 to go on sale.

Just my experience bought around 20x 2080 Tis (for custom builds) within 1-2 months after they came out and the only one artifacting was a Gigabyte one.

I don't know if this is good enough a deal for you, but the Vega 56 is $299 on Amazon [amazon.com] with the same two game bundle. All time low according to triple camel.
