Does anyone know what kind of adapters the 7 port and 10 port usb hubs use? Are the plugs small but connected to a brick? Os is the plug bricks themselves? Most of the customer images on Amazon are the 4 ports and none of them that I saw bother to include both the hub and its respective power adapter in the same picture.

I bought the one with the power supply to power a Raspberry Pi and a display (that I turn off with the button when I leave) and the Pi complains about not enough power. I was expecting the 60w being able to handle a Raspberry Pi but it's not

Do you have the powered one? Im thinking of buying one cuz the non-powered one can't even power a 2.5 HD. Thanks.
FYI, It also won't power an enclosed SSD.

https://www.aliexpress.com/i/32888160225.html (also sold on ebay) better to get something decent, because always choose powered hubs if you can, less trouble, don't have to worry about over loaded ports causing disconnection issues.

Alieexpress over Amazon? Yikes. That Wavelink is aluminum cased which is superior and helps with the wifi interactions people complain about, but it also looks like a product someone constructed in their home. How long have you had it?

Get the powered. I didn't and wish I had. the power adapter alone cost as much as this deal. And the power gives you options. I wish I had it just to charge 4 things at once without a PC.
I have the 4 port from a precious deal but it's 2.0 only. Works good for low data demand items. The Unitek 3 port with gigabit 3.0 has been stellar, and you get a gigabit port, and a standard micro USB power port to power it if needed

just came here to randomly say I have used one of these for like 4 years and it's been great, I use it to charge my fitbit and run a couple small usb items on my desk like a 3d moon and a himalayan salt lamp lol

just ordered but why do I need this? Smilie
Great for travelling - espescially if you get a not-so-updated hotel room or if you're stuck on a layover in a busy airport (you can use it to ask someone to share an outlet).

You said you came here to say it, which is intentional - the opposite of random.

Can we, as a society, please start using "random" and "literally" correctly?

I've had the $7 one for a few years and at this point it's almost time to throw it away. The buttons became really sticky (sticky like in terms of a key press) and some of them won't even work. The lights on two of the buttons also quit working, they flick or half of the lights will dim randomly. Won't be buying another Sabrent in the future.
