Costco Members: Kasa Cam 1080p Smart Home Security Camera 2-pack by TP-Link, KC120

Came across these Kasa Cam home security camera's when looking for Arlo. Looks like a decent deal. Not sure, what the price is for non-members. Hope this helps someone. Thanks.

I have Kasa light switches that work great. But already have Wyze cams for in-house. Is there something better about these Kasa indoor cams that I'm not seeing? I don't care about multiple brands/apps for different devices. Thanks.

I have maybe 6 of them in my house. I am totally happy with them. I just bought two outdoor ones for outside. They all work about the same. I had Ring cameras outside and just wasn't happy with them. Kasa I think keeps recordings for a week. No subscription. That's all I need. NIght time viewing is better than Blink. Blink daytime viewing has been good for me. Dependable. Battery is a downside for Blink, but I haven't changed the battery in maybe 9 months? The biggest problem I have with Kasa Cams, is I need an outlet. If I have an outlet there, it's a no-brainer for me. I'll get a Kasa cam of some sort. Outdoor or indoor, but I'll get a Kasa Cam if I have the outlet there. I returned the Ring outdoor cams. No subscription, no viewing, except for live. Ring was also very slow. Kasa also connected very easily once you have the app up and going. Adding other Kasa items is as easy as it gets for me. That's my experience.

If you have an outlet there and want a camera there, at $100 for two it's a great deal in my opinion. I think you'll like them.

I have this camera since last Christmas. It has been reliable. The only thing I have against it, is that the sensitivity is so high even change in brightness triggers motion

Yeah it should. What i meant was it can live broadcast from the camera to Home hub`s or Lenovo`s screen.

This model, KC120, you can't live stream for more then 10 minutes, it will timeout after 10 min. This is not user configurable.

I've had mine for over a year I think. I don't think I've ever streamed for more than a couple of minutes (if that) in the house. What would you want to view in the house for more than 10 minutes? I never noticed the inability to configure. I set the schedule and that's been good enough for me. I think the outdoor you can configure a bit more, but not sure.

There are plenty of use cases where a person would want to stream in-house more then 10 minutes. Use cases will vary person to person. The hardware / software shouldn't limit a person's use in this respect.

Maybe this timeout has changed or been removed. Feel free to share if so.
