If you're planning on using wifi calling with an iPhone on Xfinity mobile, DON'T DO IT! You will get endless dropped and failed calls. This has been going on for nearly 2 years without any resolution.

Are these phones unlocked like Verizon phones? I ask due to them being a mvno of Verizon. Or use their network at least.

Nope. Bought an iPhone 7 Plus 256gb and put in a T-Mobile sim before even turning it on. Not unlocked.

Yeah looks like it is locked. Found this:.
Criteria for unlocking your phone

Make sure the following things are true:

The phone must be an Xfinity Mobile device.

The phone must not be reported lost, stolen, or involved with fraudulent activity.

The phone must be paid in full prior to requesting the device unlock. If your device is on a Device Payment Plan, it is ineligible for unlocking.

The phone cannot be active on another Xfinity Mobile customer's account. If the phone previously was active on another Xfinity Mobile customer's account, it must be paid for in full.

You must have completed and paid for at least one full billing cycle of Xfinity Mobile service following the purchase of a device.

Your Xfinity Mobile account must be in good standing. One exception is if you are an active member of the military—all active-duty military personnel are eligible to have their phones unlocked.

Nice thing with Xfinity is they will unlock the second it's paid off. They used to unlock before it was paid off when they first started.

Yes. You can indeed port a Google voice number. You'll have to pay Google the $3 fee to unlock it. My taxes are about $3.37 a month, no data usage. It's $10 more a month if you don't have Xfinity service.
