I previously owned a similar set and found dialog was hard to understand, so after 5 years I ponied up for a quality set of SVS Primes and everything is great now.

The small center channel in this set is lacking. The towers should be fine, but I wouldn't buy this set due to the small center and lacking bookshelf speakers.

Disregard the pricing how are the sound quality compare to something like this to BOSE 700 and a 700 model sub together? I'm pretty new to these sound systems. Would love some wise words from sound system veterans.

Bose is generally scoffed at by audiophiles. Since this hit the FP, I give you about 15 minutes before some snob starts roasting you for mentioning them.

Sub and receiver suggestions to go with this??
Fry's has the J 10 sub for $129 with coupon code 2288 in store if you have one near you:
https://www.frys.com/product/9798244

I received mine yesterday and am happy with it. Paired it with klipsch r-34c (center) and rb-10 (tiny L/R.. space is limited) for a 3.1 setup.

I'm not going to roast, but I advise listening to it. I wasn't impressed with the soundbar 500 or 700. Personally, I feel like they are muddy and tinny at the same time. The sonos playbar is nicer imo, but a much better sound can be had for much less if the clutter of a receiver and speakers isn't a concern.

Does anyone know of any good deals on just a center channel speaker?
Not a "deal" as in discount, but I've read a bit about RSL lately and was tempted to try them. I believe their center CG23 is on sale for $180. 30 days to try with no restocking and free return shipping.

Damn, that looked like the one. Unfortunately, no Frys in my area.

I'll keep my eyes open though!

Is there much of a difference between the 1st gen and 2nd gen AJ's or beyond?
Only marginal design differences inside the cabinets...exterior is where the major changes are.

How are these compared to the infinity tss-500 speakers?

I'm planning on using them with the hk7550hd which is currently connected to the tss-500s.
