i have never listened to anything like these. What do you think about this deal if im looking at something like bose 700 comparative or better? I'm not an audiophile but i'd just like to get something thats worth the price.
I can't comment on these Jamo speakers, but for some comparison, I have a cheap denon receiver (~$200), r-34c ($350 full price), j 10 sub ($140 sale), and pair of rb-10 ($80 sale a couple years ago).

So roughly $800 and it blows away the bose and sonos sound bars in audio quality imo, but it takes more space, electricity, and isn't a multi-room WiFi speaker solution or have Alexa built in (slightly more expensive receivers offer these modern features). I use a harmony hub to add google home voice control, and a chrome cast to "play Everything is Awesome on the stereo".

The r-34c has very nice sound in the vocal range. Super for dialogue in movies and music. It's also fairly compact and wall mountable. But, it didn't have enough in the mid-low range without the sub imo, but that's also because my L/R speakers are so small and don't help in that range.

My recommendation is to go to bestbuy and listen to the bose soundbars, sonos playbar, then listen to a cheaper traditional speaker setup (like klipsch reference or definitive tech). If you like the sound of the sound bars and/or value their modern smart features and ease of use, then just get a simple soundbar. You may end up spending $1,400 on a soundbar and sub. I would also try an RSL package before spending $1,400.

Well as kevingt01 is kinda eluding to unfortunately no one will be able to tell how these and Bose will sound like to you. You will have to go listen to them yourself if you can.
If you can't it's then you going to have to take an educated guess.
I would suggest going to like Best Buy and see if you can find something you like there and go from there.

How are these compared to the s807 5.1 sets that was on sale about a month ago?

The s626 system has been around for at least 7 years so the s807 is much newer. The s626 tower has a 8" woofer on the side so you'll get more bass out of them than the s807 which has dual 5" woofers.

For $243 or whatever the going price is now this is quite a deal for a 5 speaker setup.

You'd be lucky to find both the s626 and s807 in store to test against each other.

The s626 is taller and much heavier. 51lbs and 42.5" tall. Way more solid speaker

the s807 is 26 lbs and 3" tall. About half the weight of the s626

I was trying to decide to either keep the 626 or wait for the 807 to go on sale . But thanks for the heads up. I'll end up keeping them.

I assume you live near Fry's if you have the 626 already? Why not go there and listen to the s807 towers? You already know what the 626 sounds like. How do you like them?

I am not sure the usual going price but the 807's are $180 today at Fry's. Not the whole set--just the pair
