$199.99 at Microcenter, w/ Division 2 Gold and WWZ included, that's like $60 for the CPU. Super tempted to swap out my 1600 for now until Zen 2 and then give my son the 2700 once I upgrade.

Yeah, I have a store that I pass on the way home, so lucky in that respect.

Worth getting this over a 2600 for gaming? I am seeing conflicting benchmarks. Some have this beating the 2600x in games and others have it the worst performing zen+ chip. Weird.

If you plan to overclock, especially using the stock/included cooler, I suspect the 2600 is at least as fast for gaming as the 2700. But if not overclocking, the 2600X will auto-overclock itself better than the 2600.

Thanks! Is that due to the 2700's lower all-core turbo? I understand that although the single-core boost for the 2700 exceeds that of the 2600, it may be that the 2600 can get more cores higher?
