Nice. Some of my local stores have a few. Anyone know the story on 3rd party sim unlock methods? And what the status of the bootloader is on these models?

Dumb Question: I want to use this strictly for Wi-Fi use only with phone calling disabled(i.e. it's for a child to use for games and apps). I shouldn't have any problem with this should I? Just run through SET UP, attach it to a Google account, skip the phone-set up and good to go right?

That will work just fine but screen is a little on the small side for a mini tablet. I use a couple 6 inch ZTEs for tablet duty which have pretty good screens and crazy good battery life. The Total Wireless Stylo 3 would make a pretty good mini tablet if you can still find one for 30.

He wants to play VR games. I have the Samsung Gear VR(a freebie with my new phone) but it requires a galaxy s6-S10 to use and I'm not handing him my $500 phone that I need for work to use and abuse.

So again, there should be no problem activating this for just Wifi use, right?

Walmart's Wlwebsite doesn't provide the info, but since total wireless runs on CDMA I assume the phone is CDMA, isn't it?
I mean, can I use this phone with a cricket wireless sim card after unlocking the device through imei?

It supports CDMA and GSM. Great phone but Samsung stopped releasing monthly security updates

Still a excellent phone with a outstanding camera. Fresno area (7065 N. Ingram) shows 2 in stock for $99. I'm too far away.
