HATE MIRs. Been stiffed on those more times than they ever worked. Refuse to buy anything with an MIR now.
I know the feeling !! I've mostly given up too. Especially when its a pre-paid card. Then it's a PITA to try and figure out what's left and how to use it. Just send a check I put in the bank or better yet just have a sale

FYI-

As this was posted weeks ago, Walmart has the Mobil 1 on sale for $22.88 plus a $5 off Mobil 1 gift card and then you have the Mobil one rebate for $12. Bringing the total cost to $5.88 if it matters to anyone.

Am I the only one that would rather pay more and not deal with stupid rebate hassles?
The Mobile rebates are pretty easy. It's the PP ones that are likely to have problems.

I might use this deal to max out my Mobile 1 purchases for the rebate period. I'll have enough oil stocked to cover me for the rest of the year.

You could use it to pay part of your phone bill. Just enter the exact amount and shred the card when you're done.

Most prepaid cards can be deposited in your bank account with a teller. Money straight into your pocket.

Maybe I don't understand something but I can get Pennzoil Platinum 0W-20 for $22.68 on Amazon minus $10 rebate = $12.68 per 5qt.
Rebate is $10 only but the original price is lower, Amazon is listed in participating retailers for this offer:

Hm, I see now, it involves 2 rebates, lol. 2x more chances of not getting at least one of them

Bought 2 in Feb and got 2 $15 GC from AutoZone and 20 from Pennzoil. It was my first time though. I do have a different address and e-mail I will use in case they try to flag me as ineligible.
