Maybe I don't understand something but I can get Pennzoil Platinum 0W-20 for $22.68 on Amazon minus $10 rebate = $12.68 per 5qt.
Rebate is $10 only but the original price is lower, Amazon is listed in participating retailers for this offer:
https://www.amazon.com/Pennzoil-5...way&sr=8-6

Rebate:

This deal is useful if we already used up the Pennzoil rebate. I did mine in January so gotta wait til next year

Pepboys not listed as eligible retailer for the Rebate. Wonder if the rebate fulfillment center will honor it.
They are listed in the drop down form when you fill out the rebate for Pennzoil. What are you referring to?

so let me clairfy, buy from pep boys, then get a 15 rebate, then on top of that you file a separate rebate with pennzoil and get another 10, so its 25 off 30 correct?

Am I reading this correctly that you can submit this particular rebate up to four times?

FYI-

As this was posted weeks ago, Walmart has the Mobil 1 on sale for $22.88 plus a $5 off Mobil 1 gift card and then you have the Mobil one rebate for $12. Bringing the total cost to $5.88 if it matters to anyone.
Walmart is not listed as a participating dealer on that rebate.

Can you elaborate on this, never heard or seen this before.
You can deposit "most" of these visa/MC rebate cards directly to your account at a bank through a cashier. A small percentage that don't work have some wording on the card that there is no ATM cash access. For these cards I just load up to my Amazon CG.

Quick question. The pepboys rebate says it isn't valid with any other discounts or promotions. All of the oils are currently on sale at pepboys, so is that grounds to reject the pepboys rebate?

Am I the only one that would rather pay more and not deal with stupid rebate hassles?
I don't trust PepBoys for anything but at least the Pennzoil rebate was quick (a week or two) when I did it.

My car is at 150K and always use conventional oil. Can I put synthetic in it now?

I heard it will so something to the seal and cause bad leak.

Yes. It works just like conventional oil and a healthy engine can switch back and forth no problem.

Sometimes synthetic can be used to extend your oil change interval, but I wouldn't recommend going against your manufacturer's recommendation without learning more about used oil analysis and what the numbers mean.

Keep an eye on oil consumption. If you start using something with a lot of detergents, you might clean up your engine to the point where problems in the seals are no longer being covered up by sludge. In instances like this, the synthetic didn't hurt anything...it just revealed an existing problem with the engine.

High mileage formulations supposedly help condition the seals that are prone to break down. I wouldn't recommend using them unless you are starting to notice oil consumption is increasing, since that appears to be more of a one way street than regular oil vs synthetic.
