This deal is for the Intel 9900k from Newegg via eBay.
This deal is potentially made even better by the targeted 15% back in eBay Bucks (ymmv)

I have been looking for deal on this processor for a few weeks or so. I am excited to see its performance.

If you got the targeted 15% eBay ($69) bucks promotion - then this seems like a good deal for this specific processor.

I just came to post this. Haven't seen this deal before and getting 4.5% back for BOA.

I wish I read about the ebay bucks first though. Is it confirmed to be covered by this purchase?

Good deal with the extra 15% off if you got lucky. Price dropping and maybe this BF will be some good deals on this.

Ridiculous that a top tier processor like this would only support 16 PCI-e lanes considering this will be typically paired with a high end GPU and at least one m.2 NVMe SSD let alone other peripherals. Intel is slacking much like Apple while AMD is nailing the intersection of performance and price. This will be a good deal when it costs the same as a Ryzen 2700x to no fault of the OP though.

40% performance decrease. The price should be $300

Nope. And unlike Jesus, these exploits keep returning to hit Intel. Ryzen 3000 is going to stomp all over them especially with all the IPC hits these intel fixes are causing.
