I just chatted with Dyson and they say that the supersonic is not eligible for price match.

Let people do what they want with their money. If those same people come asking you for money then... I cant believe people pay 1000 for a phone. Same can be said for everything. To some it may be worth it. People say the same thing about the the vacs but it is the only one that has lasted 10+ years (all the others kept breaking on rugs). The unit is lighter than most hair dryers as the weight is in the handle which I do like.

A certain website is offering 15% CB from Dyson' website. Worth taking a look.

I think I'm going to buy one of those Hot-Cool purifiers from them instead of those deals for the refurbed units

supersonic, eh?

I may just buy one and take it to work next week... we have a
wind tunnel and I can test to see if the hairdryer can actually
output supersonic speeds....

if not, I will be consulting with my attorney about starting a
class action suit for false advertising. Smilie

but if it is indeed capable of outputting supersonic speeds,
than a different lawsuit for hearing damage is likely.... Dyson
knowingly produced a product capable of hearing damage,
which was designed to be usein close proximity of human
ears...
Let me know how this works out for you.... On a side note I picked one up for my other half when there had a same on refurb units and she loves it. It's surprisingly heavy and has a very smooth and controlled heat and air output.

I got one for my wife last year when this deal for $320 from Best Buy came around. She thought it was way overpriced, but I said just give it a try since you use a dryer everyday, if it's good, then it's worth it. Now she absolutely loves it. Her hair is much softer after using this dryer. She also used to spend 15+ minutes drying with an ionic type. Now she's done in about 5 minutes. There is a difference. It uses high pressure air with less heat, so it doesn't damage hair like a normal hair dryer. It's also much quieter.

Wife is super happy. Happy wife, happy life.

there are Pro Hair Dryers that will blow this away for less money.

it's a toy that you over paid for.
Recommendations then?

Edit: Nevermind. Don't care actually. Was just sharing my personal experience and how I found it to be worth the price. Nothing out there is designed like this, so I'll find fault in any top heavy old style dryers.

That chair thing you sit in and the half dome goes over your head and curlers.

Got this for the wife for xmas and same story. She couldn't believe the price but it works better than anything she's ever had and she loves it.

Just got it from Dyson directly. While they don't price match BestBuy, you can request a returning customer discount through chat and that's the same 20%. I gave them a serial number of my 4-year old vacuum to confirm ownership, and everything was fairly easy.

Now let's see if cashback and the discount will end up stacking.
