Note that these are NOT raw. They are steam pasteurized. They are unroasted if that's what you meant.

there is a significant difference as the pasteurization kills off the microbes which some people desire to have present.

Are not all USA nuts, not sold on site of production, pasteurized? Like all USA milk.

All almonds from California, by law, need to be pasteurized by either roasting, steaming or PPO since 2007 due to multiple salmonella outbreaks.

Want, unpasteurized raw? You'll need to buy imported european almonds to avoid any form of pasteurization

Actually, you can get truly raw almonds right on Amazon.

Terrasoul Superfoods Raw Unpasteurized Organic Almonds (Sproutable), 2 lbs https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00EGXG...1CbEAPYYBW

I've ordered these before and they have a subtle sweet taste (very subtle) compared to other almonds. I like them personally.

edit: not saying that the ones I posted are a slickdeal or anything. just pointing out that truly raw is available room Amazon. the ones I posted are both raw and organic, so going to be signing more expensive (12.50/lb)

Sure can. But those almonds in your link are imported from Spain, hence European unpasteurized raw.

The only exemption in the California law are for the raw unpasteurized sold in small batches along the roadside direct from the farm.
