I have both the 2 and the 3. The 3 is a bit brighter and is plenty bright enough most of the time, but I still have some trouble viewing it in direct sunlight.

For $20, this is an excellent deal. This is the lowest price I've seen. There's a version 4 that's supposed to be coming out soon, but it's probably going to be in the $40-50 range. Also, there are 2 apps that really make this device shine: Notify & Fitness for Mi Band (my favorite) and Tools & Mi Band. These will give a lot more control over notifications so that you can assign specific vibrations to contacts, integrate with Tasker and Sleep as Android, and reorganize the device screens. The Notify app also does a good job tracking workouts and plotting heart rate data onto a map.

In some ways, I think Xiaomi is better than Apple.

Mi Band 3 is a solid fitness tracker. I been using since it came out close to a year ago. Original price was $30 but I still bought at launch for $25 so these don't really drop that much.

Would recommend the band highly. I've had 2 different model Fitbits and the battery sucks in them..usually 3-4 days at best. The MiBand3 battery lasts close to a month on a single charge. On a side note, the Android app was updated today and it seems much sleeker and snappier.

I've been looking for a deal on this for a while. Comes to 23 with shipping to US after the coupon. I'm not sure what the difference is between international and other versions. I know there was one version that you could do payments with or something, but I'm not sure which. saves you a bit if you can handle the wait. Seemed like login with Facebook and Google accounts were not functioning.

edit: worked with instagram accounts though...

I think the MiBand 4 will be out in a bit, and this is about the best deal you'll see on the 3. Thx OP.

I have the 2, is the screen any brighter on this one? The 2 is unreadable outdoors.

I think the 2 has a bug where the screen goes dim sometimes, and I've yet to see someone figure out how to fix it, or why it happens in the first place.

I lost the one I use daily, and it could be read in daylight, but the spare I have can barely be read indoors.

Anyhow, I'm in for a 3. Don't really see how it's going to be better than the 2, and I'm not thrilled that it's larger and has a shorter battery life.

I wonder what features the 4 will boast that the others don't have?

I went with the honor band 4 over the miband3 when I upgraded from the miband2. I couldn't stand the way the band on the miband kept coming loose.

Honor 4 or wait for next mi band? I realize it's not some huge investment.

Don't expect Mi band 3 to provide anything close to accurate heart rate monitoring.

I was a huge fitbit fan for years, with the only problem that i had to buy a new one yearly. I play a lot of sports like basketball and soccer and the bands would die in about 13-14 months. (be aware i would have to replace the pvc bracelet monthly, but those are cheap on ebay).

In the last two years, i stopped purchasing fitbits and i went with huawei band 2 for myself and i also recently bought the huawei band 3 pro for my kids. I recommend them highly. yes, they are double+ the price of this band here, but i have put them through the ringer and they still work. battery life is also 18+ days for my band 2.

got this last week from Amazon. Looks like they won't price match. Ordered one from GV and will return it to Amazon once delivered. can use $7 or so for different color straps from ebay.
