I don't get these small 4K monitors, you won't be able to tell the difference between 2K and you're going to need double the GPU power to run the same eye candy.
I can tell you this. When I switch my monitor to 1440p from 4k in open world games, you can 100% tell the difference.

You can't for movies or games that have a close up point of view though.

Absolutely love the additional detail of the 4k for games like black ops 4 blackout mode, red dead, etc etc.

yes this is great to start with but if you are actually selling your work and have the bank go for something more profesional /height adjustment available more conectivity/ rotation to portrait mode av. etc but if you don´t care about the extra features this is ok
Which one would you recommend for photos? Thanks

Assuming your GPU is sufficient enough, 1440p @ 144hz is widely considered the sweet spot for gaming. Especially first person shooters. Its crazy how ignorant people are to the benefit of higher frame monitors.

If you are only interested in 60hz @ 4K, get a TV with a game mode and save yourself some money.
I don't think I could go back down to QHD from 4K. I really love 4K, and eventually 4K at 120hz will be supported in future monitors, so I think I'll wait it out.

I don't play any FPS games either, and do a lot of 3D rendering so the 4K is more important than the refresh rates.

60 hz. No thanks.
Its a 4k monitor. Unless you have a 2080ti you arent gaming at high 4k at high frame rates. And even then i dont think that card is hitting 144hz at 4k.

So not sure why you felt the need to post this.

I use it to play games.
It's really not bad at all, but I haven't been exposed to 144hz+ so I don't know what I'm missing, lol
Not gonna lie 144hz was life changing for me.
Pc building has always been a hobby but i prefer console gaming until i got a dell 1440p 144hz and it made me really want to play games on my pc.

Your posts are pretty ignorant.

High refresh gaming for you (and me) are great. But thats not the same for everyone.

I know people who would take 4k at 60hz over 1440p at 144hz. Esp if you do content creation or media consumption more then gaming. Or if you arent playing FPS.

For games like the witcher or skyrim i would take 4k over 144hz personally. For destiny 2 id take 144hz.

Its ignorant to assume that eberyone has the same preferences as you do.

Can the Vega 56 take advantage of free sync?
Yes it will run freesync. The better question is, will it hit the freesync range of 40-60 at 4k using Vega 56. Getting a better 1440p monitor might be better for your use case. Although its tough, because you also want to future proof.

Note: 27UL600 I can confirm as Gsync Compatible. Running it with RTX2070

For "console peasants"... Please note, XboxOne X and PS4 Pro runs a ton of games at 30 fps. Hence, Xbox One may not even hit the freesync range of 40-60.

At 27" 1080p, text is very pixelated. If you do a lot of coding or writing, the difference is night and day.

I dont even think a 2080ti can hit 144hz @4k so all the 60hz babies in here kick rocks(please don't say low settings because that defeats the purpose). If you have a high end card VII, 2080, 2080ti or Titan this will work well since 60fps @4k seems to be the sweet spot just make sure its actually compatible with gsync. That fact that its ips so it doubles as a great monitor for creators and designers.
You really don't need g-sync.

If you're looking for a casual monitor, you can buy one sub $100 and not stalk SD.
And you wonder why people are giving you a hard time? You do realize you were being rude right?

Perhaps you shouldn't stalk Slickdeals and comment on products that don't interest you. Then maybe the world will be a better place.

I bought this monitor for this price last week.

I'm not sure if it is perfect for PC gaming, but it is outstanding for xbox one x gaming, as xbox is capped at 60 fps anyway. G-sync works very well and the picture quality is outstanding with a very quick response time. Most xbox one x games aren't HDR, so the lack of "true HDR" doesn't really bother me.

I bought it primarily as an external display for my macbook pro that I could also use when I bring my xbox one x to my friends' houses, but I actually enjoy the experience so much that I've been playing my xbox one x more on this display than my main 55" 4k HDR TV.

If you have an xbox one x, this is a great display for you. As you cannot use fps greater than 60, a more expensive 144 hz display would make no difference for you.

How does this compare to the LG 27UK600-W that's on sale at Best Buy?

Unless you're planning to game, who cares? This is being sold as a casual use work/media monitor
Actually it doesn't matter for gaming purpose as well. Because a lot of the games at 4K resolution don't give high fps unless you dump a lot more money on graphic card. FPS players I know all use the worst graphic settings in game to get high fps.
