Walmart has Hamilton Beach 1.1 Cu. Ft. Digital White Microwave Oven for $33.79. The link is for reference. I found the price for in store and immediately got one. Reviews are decent (4.2 stars) for this one. The black one is not on deal. This is the lowest price I have found for this microwave.

I went to the store in my area. Saw the price tag, but did not see the microwaves. I asked an employee there and he fetched couple of them from the storage in the back.

Online price is $55.99, but it is showing that there is limited stock in store (two) for $30.03. Can I order online and then get them to match the in store price? Thx!

One thing I have learnt this year is that Brickseek is unreliable. It is really BS. :-). Call your store if your drive is long.

Saw this last Tuesday - grabbed one up since I knew they wouldn't be there for long - $34.48. The same one has been $55 for some time.

Works well enough - all these small appliances are throw away type now anyway. I firmly believe that most microwave's have the same internal parts so why pay upwards of $100. If this one lasts 2 years or more I will be happy.

I replaced my microwave two months ago. It was 27 years old, given to me after I moved out of my parent's house

I replaced my Hamilton Beach after less than a year. It started sparking and smoking the other day.

I bought a Panasonic to replace it.

Just because something 27 years ago was built to last does not mean this is. That microwave could have used 0 recycled materials while this one can be made up mostly of recycled materials from that 27 year old microwave scrap.

Normally food gets stuck to the waveguide causing this. You can clean it to fix. You can also buy another waveguide.

Ditto. If you dont clean the oven regularly, it will not last long irrespective of the brand.

Yeah I agree with this based on the sharp carousel line. The original carousels that were built in the 1990s and early 2000s were tanks. We have one from early 2000 that still runs in a commercial environment everyday and still works perfectly. I used to have one when we lived in an apartment and it survived 7 years. When we moved to our first home we put it in our attic since we got a built in Kitchenaid (rebadged Whirlpool Gold). Needless to say that thing would fail every 6-7 months and we'd pull out the old sharp to use while we got Whirlpool to fix it under warranty. When we moved to our new home we gave it away but our new microwave has also failed on us. Most stuff isn't made like its used to. The original Carousels were made by Sharp in Malaysia or Thailand but now they are contracted and made really cheaply in China. To get an original sharp you gotta go to an appliance dealer and spend close to $500-$1000.
