I saw this yesterday at my store. Beautiful laptop. If it had a touch screen I'd be a buyer.

Does anyone know if Costco does price adjustments? I bought this from my local Costco a couple weeks ago for$1500.

Beautiful laptop, loving it so far.

I have their 15.6" with touch screen and 512 SSD. Love the lightness of it.

Still expensive, but well worth it. I just bought one last night. Freakin' awsome machine! I'm used to lugging around a 17" laptop while traveling, and the LG is simply amazing. It is SO incredibly light and easy to handle compared to any "normal" 17-incher. It's literally less than one-half the weight. 6+ pounds versus less than 3lbs makes a huge difference. This thing weighs exactly the same as a Huawei Matebook Pro X with a 14" screen. And the screen on the LG is a 16:10, so it has a bit more vertical space than the typical 16:9 display. This makes it really nice for web surfing.

One thing you'll notice is that it is VERY flexible, which makes it feel cheap. However, it is NOT cheap nor poorly built. Even though it feels like flimsy plastic, the case is a magnesium alloy infused with carbon nanotubes. I was concerned about the flexy-flier nature of the display, but I twisted the hell out of the demo unit and not only did it return to it's intended shape, the display panel itself did not show any signs of distress or aberration even while it was being bent like you'd never do to your own machine. (Should I apologize to whoever eventually buys the demo? I guess not, since it didn't do any damage!) Seems that LG used a very flexible LCD panel to avoid any potential problems.

The keyboard is quite nice too, unlike some other light & thin laptops. Trackpad action is great, very smooth and precise. Speakers are mediocre at best. If LG had made the speakers as good as the Matebook Pro X, this would be THE most perfect laptop in existence. It's not intended to be a gaming machine, although people could use the Thunderbolt 3 port to use an external GPU. For general productivity work, this thing is The Bomb!

Youre literally paying for the weight for this. 17" at 3lbs is crazy though. If it somehow had a low end card would be better being a 17" device.

To upgrad the SSD to 512 or 1TB, here is a how-to link:

Also, don't underestimate the Thunderbolt 3 port--I would never buy an new laptop w/o it (unless it was an unbelievable deal somewhere).

EDIT:
Went to local Costco for hands-on yesterday. One word: IMPRESSIVE
Light, quality feel. Nice display & 10-key number pad. Hardly any bezel and 16:10 for better browsing/height.

Recommended.
