Lifetime Tamarack 100 Angler Kayak (Paddle Included): Blue, Green or Tan $229

Came across this deal just cause i wanted my first 2 kayaks ever (one for me and my son or when I bring a friend along, "they better have the beers") without breaking the piggy bank. Wanted something not too expensive just to see if I like fishing with a kayak.
Checked Walmart online and saw them.
Went to my local walmart and seems to be an online order for this Lifetime Angler model. At least for the walmarts near me, seems like some of you might get lucky and find them in stock (in green...ewwww, jk)
Note that the Green and Tan seem to ship to your home for free(might be a glitched, order them before they find out) or free store pickup.
I bought the Blue ones but the system wants to charge $50 for shipping so I bypassed it to ship to my local walmart store for free (down a few miles from my local lake. So, i can brake them in after I pick them up, jaja, "TOOUCHE" !).

Seems like a good starter if you do a few upgrades as seen on Youtube. Ill be upgrading the seat with stadium seats (saw the ozark brand for $15 there too at walmart, might fit), the foam golf balls as plugs, and a few more little upgrade details.

Lastime it saw these prices was on 03-30-2018 at $225 per Slickdeal history search.
whats $4 more and in a new color.........BLUE!!!!! hehehe.
2 blue ones came out to $458 plus $35.50 California tax
$493.50 out the door with the free ship to store...
Order was place today 5/11/19, estimated ready on 5/21...10 days from now
they will hold your order for 7 days for pickup.
BTW, blue was out of stock before i went to work, then when I came back, it was back in stock ...who knows for how long.....If you want blue...you better act fast. I'm just saying.

A lot of info there. Seen some at Costco and Sams, but they are over price for not even being a fishing type kayak. Been wanting to get into kayak fishing myself. In for one.

You do you, but a decent seat or easy upgrade path, and sliding pedals are a must for me on any kayak. Good price for a kids boat maybe but I wouldn't want it for myself.

he did mention...a somewhat of a starter...for beginners. I own a 12' Aluminum boat 20hp Yamaha and a fiberglass walkaround 20' boat 150hp MERC..for deepsea.I want to explore where these boats cant get in.... why go HOBBI,SLAYER, etc top of the line if you are not sure?! worst thing is that you dont like kayaking and flip it for $170.... and not the 2k for pedal systems... or a mid level for 1k....testing the waters from what i hear.YOU do you!

I would certainly hope that a $600 kayak is better than a $230 kayak....

So what makes it a "fishing" kayak? The rod holders? My non-fishing sit-inside kayak has rod holders.

I have two of these from 2017. They're a great, inexpensive way to get started kayak fishing. I've seen a lot of customization videos also. Last year, I graduated to an Ascend 12t so I can easily stand while fishing. I can stand on the Tamarack, but it requires a lot more balance. My wife and some friends I've taken fishing could not easily stand on it. We still have the Tamaracks and have not had any major issues with them. I think we got them for $219 each with a paddle back in 2017.

From my understanding, the bottom is supposed to be flatter for more side to side stability
Con is, it doesn't paddle as fast
