I have two. I used one with my PC for a little while and it sounded amazing for that purpose. I use them for the source of audio from two TVs now. They sound slightly more clear and louder than the stock TV speakers but nothing to write home about. I wouldn't spend more than $100 for it and I'd consider getting a different soundbar if this will be used in a large room. I think the rooms we use them in are about 12'x12' for reference. After using it for a year, I'd like to see $75 for a refurb and $150 for a new one but $100 isn't bad and still may be worth considering.

I also have the Bose 700 soundbar in my living room and wasn't really impressed with it either until I bought the bass module 700 to go with it. I highly recommend that setup for a livingroom. It sounds amazing IMO. I'd obviously prefer that setup over this soundbar when it comes to sound quality but we're talking $100 vs $1,500 so no surprise there. However, for the rooms with this soundbar I didn't want a clunky bass module, I wanted a smaller soundbar, and I didn't need the sound quality to be that good, just better than the stock TV speakers, so this soundbar was a better fit in those rooms for us. If you have similar wants then it's worth considering.

I bought this late last year, same deal -$100 from Bose's Ebay store, refurb. It definitely looked brand new when I received it. There are a few things you should know. I really don't think this soundbar will be very good for larger rooms, say more than 14x14 or so. Another plus is it is pretty small, it does not take up a lot of real estate.

The negatives - prob not going to be very good for a bigger room. It does not come with a wall mount - need the item number Bose WB-120 (24.99 from Amazon). Also unlike the Vizio soundbars, it does not integrate with your main tv remote control volume buttons. So you literally have to control the on/off and up/down volume control with a separate controller, which is definitely annoying.

I ended up putting this in my upstairs office, and for my larger living room TV I bought the SB3621n-E8 Vizio sound bar. It is currently $140-ish, but it goes on sale for $97 every now n then. Hope this helps!
I use my fire stick remote to control the volume. Works fine.
Also, there's a sleep setting you can use so the soundbar turns on when it senses a signal. No reason to use the power button.
I can't stand the big Bose remote, so I was happy to find that workaround.

I had to return it 6 months ago as it had some unresolved connection issues with Samsung TV. This may have changed by now.

For $100 you won't find a better speaker at this size. It's not for everyone but what stands out for me is that I'm hearing aspects of music I've never heard before and I can hear dialogue clearly from movies and TV shows. People say it's lacking bass but honestly I think excessive bass is overrated and those last 2 features are more important. Any cheap subwoofer can overdo bass and it doesn't even sound good. If you want to be fair just compare it to other products for $100.

I have 3 Samsung TVs and have no issues so you might have got a lemon since I've had these for over a year. Did you try going to the TV sound settings and changing TV Sound Output to Audio Out instead of TV speaker? If that still didn't work, did you try changing the Audio Format in the TVs Sound settings? The soundbar may not work with all audio formats. Just my 2 cents.

Thank you for the response and I had tried all what have you mentioned. Posting one one the few links in Bose community and it was not resolved at that time

Very interesting. Sounds like the soundbar does have some compatibility issues with some TVs because a few people reported the same issue in that thread for various TV manufacturers. It sounded like it was always with older TVs though. One of my Samsung TVs is 10+ years old, one is 8+ years old, and one is less than a year old and I ran into no issues so I just got lucky!

I Agree. Sound is clear but lacks the true bose experience. There is pretty much no sense of base on these speakers
No base....just put it on a stand. LOL. It's Bose there is no bass

There are a LOT of downvotes on this thread on what seem like neutral assessments of this speaker. From my experience at BOSE stores I'm wondering if maybe some overenthusiastic employees are chiming in.

I say this as someone who owns 6 BOSE speakers and headsets. I really like most of them (except the software and privacy issues on the SoundTouch 10).

If anything, it seems people have very mixed reviews of the capabilities of this speaker. When it's sold on eBay as a refurb it would be a hassle to return and AMEX won't protect me with an extended warranty.
