Same as last time but looks like Adorama Camera has DJI Osmo Pocket 4K Camera w/ Touchscreen & 3-Axis Gimbal Stabilizer on sale for $349 - 15% w/ coupon code SAVE15 = $296.65. No Tax and Shipping is free.

Edit: looks like Tax in CA, check other sellers with same price maybe?

https://www.rakuten.com/shop/ador...DJIOSMOPO/

SAVE15

Looks like there may be 1 or 2 other vendors also selling it at the base $349 as well that the coupon should work with if Adorama runs out.

Also, Adorama is an Authorized Re-Seller so you can pickup the Osmo Shield from DJI for $29 for extended protection or Square etc.
If you purchase something through a post on our site, Slickdeals may get a small share of the sale.

My 2 cents

I've owned this camera since launch. I paid $318 no tax about a week after release. Since then, I have have probably shot about 15 hours of footage with it.

It's fantastic for having in your pocket and having high quality 4k memories stabilized at moments notice. If I didn't have the osmo, I wouldn't have footage of my buddies doing dumb shit that I just happened to catch on camera.

The size of the device is the major selling point. My old Yi 4k + Gimbal was HUGE. The osmo gets brought everywhere- easy to hike with, easy to walk with, very nondescript and unassuming. Great travel camera. I brought it to Mexico and people rarely noticed I was even holding it.

In the next generation I would like to see 4k time lapses (it only does 1080p). Also would like to see slightly improved audio quality, although the quality of the osmo isn't so bad to annoy me. It's perfect for background audio. I know you can attach a microphone, but the main point of the device is portability. I would also like to see a 4k or 2k slow motion mode. The quality drop to 1080 to do 4x slow motion is too great. Battery lasts forever and charges really quickly. I have never been in a situation where I would run out of battery unexpectedly.

It's a really nice device, and I would recommend it to supplement - not replace- your action camera + waterproof housing.

1/8000 for family videos, you ain't need no ND filters on very bright daylight shots in Hawaii. Please don't stop me on your purchase of ND filters.
4k 60p footage, this is the only small device that does it. Compare this size to iPhone+gimbal!
Tilt lock mode, D-Cinelike for post color adjust is great!
4k 24fps (super fine image quality) with active track and post process 10x/20x speed up produces great smooth timelapse/hyperlapse trick.
Stealthy, look like you are looking into your phone.

For use with smartphone, must have:
https://www.amazon.com/ULANZI-Han...way&sr=8-4
Powerbank and tripod can be used in this setup while relief to phone connector.

Cons,
Device is warm. Files splits at 4GB, ain't nothing to do with exfat format.
Indoor video in noodle house may be okay, but not at Outback, but you can't be expecting D750 noise level.
where are the waterproof housings?
1080p 4x slowmo is usable but zoomed in / cropped, look like 50-60mm instead of 35mm.

Osmo Pocket's little battery charges the android phone while connected, Whiskey Tango Foxtrout!!!
My Osmo Pocket, after 500GB later, it no longer connect to Android's Mimo Apps / only charges. Swapped the android USB-C connector from co-worker's device and Android connection is fine. Power path is fine, but not the data path)
Of course, It still works with iOS devices lighting connector.
No tripod mount, but solved with holder above

Innovative, but still at its early days.

You can simply do more stuff with the 360-degree footage from the Insta360 One X.

Yes! Me too! I've never got used to GoPros (I've been through a lot) and considered the Osmo Pocket for months but something is off for me. I'm so glad I researched more and found the Insta360 One X. I've dabbled with older 360 cams and they failed miserably as the technology is still immature but the Insta360 One X is awesome in terms of usability. The fact that I can manipulate POI after the fact is priceless. And so easy to edit compared to GoPros. Not trying hijack the thread but to give people options I wish people gave me before. By all means by this Osmo Pocket which my friends swear by but it didn't fit MY needs.

Am I missing something? I thought the reason for the DJI Osmo Pocket or the GP Hero 7 Black was the stabilized footage. Doe the Insta360 One X do that too?

Edited ***NVM, I forgot that it has the Flowstate Stabilization***

Oh yeah, stabilization on the Insta360 One X is impressive. They call is FlowState Stabilization. It's software based obviously as others as well but because you have the entire 360 video, stabilization isn't limited to cropping like the GoPro.

Price drop before the May 15th announcement? I wouldn't buy it now. Wait a few days and see what the new Osmo Action has to offer.
