I had set it at 1250. But luckily no one bid after 1245
Doesnt that seem a little too coincidental....
They are rigged for sure!

LGs warranty doesn't care if the dealer is authorized or not... (read the actual warranty, not the scare language on lg.com, for clarity on this point)
can you please elaborate? they are clearly listed as not an authorized seller.

Seems like no sales tax in California. That would make it the cheapest ever I think.
This is same deal I got from beach camera, out of NJ, two months ago. 1799, free shipping, no tax. I haven't seen it lower than this.

The guy literally said pay "sales tax". I said, no. Legally the out of state vendor is legally obligated to collect "sales tax".

The out of state vendor will never collect a "use tax". Not my fault bozo there tried to use a legally defining definition and failed his terminology.
There is absolutely vendor use tax. I file a return for such every month with Oklahoma for parts shipped into OK.

Vendor use tax is not what anyone is talking about. Standard use tax is self reported and never collected.

Sure, a vendor maybe forced to provide details on purchases to the state if requested and the state may pursue tax collections to an individual, but that still is collecting use tax and not the vendors problem... apart from being very rare.

Dude, did you choose to ignore reading what you quoted?

Guy literally said to read the ACTUAL WARRANTY and not the scare language on the site.

Go READ the warranty.

I'm feeling generous: https://www.qvc.com/footers/el/pd...rranty.pdf

Nowhere in that does it state you need an authorized retailer for the sale to receive a warranty.

Two facts you must accept:
1) That webpage is not anything in the realm of legally binding. No one is mandated to read or even know about that page you listed before purchasing an LG TV
2) The warranty shipped with the TV is legally binding.

So you ask yourself, "buh the page says something, why they make page if they dont mean it?". The answer is simple, to promote retailers that adhere to their MAP policies.

What is MAP? Minimum Advertised Price.

TL: DR, the website is designed to make money. The warranty is not.

Plasma does not come close to OLED black levels.
I worded it wrong I guess, several users reported the low light scenes in GoT were better on their plasmas than their OLED TVs. I didn't believe it but that's what they wrote.

The commentator you are responding to is not wrong. OLED does a terrible job at GoT. Especially non-blu ray quality GoT specifically because OLED can go so dark. All the flaws are accentuated in a bad video feed/encoding. You will have complete blackness blocks that are artifacts in the video feed right next to light gray blocks. A shittier tv can't do that level of contrast so it just blends. Though this is really a GoT problem—not an OLED problem.
I never watch GoT on cable, always streamed off of TV Zion and the file size is over 5GBs. The picture is perfect on that dark night episode, you just need to cut the cord to cable.

In for 1. Has anyone had any issues with burn-in or broken screens? I'm reading a lot of bad reviews on Amazon.
So far, so good. If you turn on the burn-in prevention measures (screen saver, screen shift, logo luminescence), keep the contrast and brightness at reasonable levels, and use the TV for varied content, you'll be fine and won't have to worry at all. If you had a plasma, the OLED will be no worse from a burn-in point of view, and probably much better.

I'm guessing a number of the complaints are coming from folks who tried to use their OLED in a bright room, so they cranked the brightness and contrast, and then left the TV on a cable news station all day every day. I'm also imagine that a lot of people who are complaining are dealing with temporary retention, which can be remedied with a pixel refresh.

If you use some common sense, you'll be fine.

Should I buy this now or wait for a cheaper price?

Do y'all think it'll get lower than this?

Thanks.

Should I purchase the square trade warranty?

Do you or anyone have any experiences with it?
