Here we go again with another religious war where a bunch of folks comment how the first-party bands are not worth it and you can get the same quality in a <$10 knockoff..

I've purchased a bunch of third party bands and they are not the same quality. You get what you pay for. The stainless bands (Milanese loop and Link bracelet) in particular are hard to replicate wrt to quality. ML is arguably the best combination of adjustability and aesthetics. I would never pay full price but at 50% off they are a good deal and worth it in my experience.

It's an Apple branded watch band that retails for $149, and rarely gets discounted.

While the deal isn't for everything, it's certainly a slick deal. If you don't mind an open box, it can be had for as low as $55 (YMMV).

Nothing like the old days of SD, but 50+% off for a product that rarely discounted is a slickdeal in my opinion.

I own a legit Milanese and a knockoff in a different color.

They are nowhere near the same quality.

I happen to be wearing the knockoff today. They are passable, but it is ridiculous to say they are identical.

I heard that the "paint" on these bands are so good that they even scratch the ceramic back of the watch, can someone confirm/dispute that?

Only the black band can cause scratches easily it has a DLC coating.

Lets see... $75 to get myself a band for the apple watch?? I guess I shouldn't be in SD. Just my .2, but hey, more power to ya
