The regular/Non Prime price is $119.99

For $69.99, this is a great deal if you are a Prime member, you save $50. It is an Alexa device, so it is a good entry for those who haven't jumped into the pool.

It works with the new Amazon Blink XT2 Outdoor/Indoor Smart Security Camera 2-way audio which will be released next week.

There is a SD post regarding the Blink XT2 here:

https://slickdeals.net/f/13068850-amazon-blink-xt2-indoor-outdoor-camera-w-2-way-audio-unlimited-cloud-storage-2-year-battery-life-99?v=1&p=127596688#post127596688

For humor's sake, you gotta read the first Q & A with comments on the Blink XT2.

Q: Will i be able to converse live with the nsa agents monitoring my devices?
A: Normally Yes but the Chinese Ministry Of State ( they build these devices for resell on Amazon) sometimes will drop the NSA feed and reroute to Federal Protective Service of Russian under an agreement with the Obama administration. Their English is not too good but if you use your Alexa device ( built by the Chinese too) it will translate it perfectly.

Amz Cube or Beelink GT1?

I would go Shield then Mi Box 4k. I have never had good luck with these Chinese boxes, all of them have had stability issues.

Mi Box doesn't have official Amazon Prime, but you can side load it through an APK.

FireTV still doesn't support VUDU right?
Not natively, but you can Sideload it using downloader with no issues and I watch all my 4k movies perfectly. Works great!

Regular Fire Stick $18.74 after AMEX promo - change points to 1 cent

I think I posted it like a week ago on another thread. You have to activate it like the typical AMEX promos and pay with at least 1 AMEX point.

Bought for my mom , she doesnt have a 4k tv yet

With that said , not the lowest price ever, bought 4k for $21.79 bucks with tax with HSN deal/AMEX promo in Jan

Forgot to use TopCB though, I remember its a little higher for Amazon devices - 8% - so thats a tip for those who have not bought yet, would have saved the tax

It depends on what one wants their streaming devices to do.

Not officially, but there a couple of hacks to install. Kind of like installing kodi or other apps. Google Vudu fire stick for steps

Can only purchase 2 devices at a time, if you need more Amazon asks for a business account. I'm upgrading all my 2nd gen FireStick with the FireStick 4K since it supports 5ghz WiFi which you'll need to stream high bit rate movies without the constant buffering. 1st/2nd gen FireSticks only support 2.4ghz WiFi. Ever since I've upgraded I can stream 4K and high bit rate content with no buffering.

Now for 4k or Cube... Thoughts?
If the Cube worked as advertised this deal would sell out fast. It has very glitchy software experence from reviews from Amazon and SD community. Amazon deleted many of the one star comments that were listed as top reviews. I really would like to see the issues fixed with a software update but not sure if that will happen. So for now I would choose the 4K stick.

How's the cube speed compare to Roku ultra? Roku ultra kills the Amazon stick.

All fire TV and firesticks are dual band, and support 5ghz. I have a first gen that I pre-ordered day one, and it is connected to my 5ghz network.

2.4ghz wifi can handle 1080p or 4k just fine. If you want to stream 4k, then you need the 4k firestick. This has nothing to do with the wifi band throughput. It could be that your location has a crowded 2.4ghz band, and therefore you will have better 5ghz performance. Buffering is almost always caused by issues with WAN (your internet provider) not your LAN (your wifi).

The most important difference between the fire products in terms of wifi is that the first gen fire products do not support wireless AC, only 802.11 a/b/g/n.

Wikipedia has a nice comparison chart of all the models:
