Quite a few reviews talking about screen flickering (wondering if it's a freesync problem) and probably the usual amount of dead pixel 1/2 star reviews on less expensive monitors. For the price, the specs are amazing, but it's definitely not risk free. Asus has a monitor with similar specs for $450 on Amazon and I think that's the only other competitor with these specs (which I think is the perfect sweetspot for gaming monitors) close to this price.

Flickering issue is real. Other than that, it's a great monitor. Been very happy so far if it doesn't flicker that much.

Would jump all over this if it weren't for the flickering issue everyone seems to have

A whopping 23 of the 54 reviews on Newegg complain about flickering.

The price is good but it's cheap for a reason.

Depends on your use.
3x 27" > 1x 34"
In 90% of cases, people would choose 3x 27". However if you're planning to play some MMO, some single player games, or nonfps games, the ultrawides are damn nice. FPS is cool, but if you're playing comp, stick with a 27".

Now if you're asking 2x 27"... That's a tough one, I would probably do 1 ultrawide.

I bought 1 of these when it was this price back at the end of March and I have to say, I don't see any flickering to the levels that the reviews on Newegg suggest.

I f'ng love this monitor. I already had an Acer Predator XB1 in the same size, refresh rate, IPS, but with G-Sync and paid $200 more back in Sept and that was the deal of the year for that monitor.

I will say, the biggest downside if you consider it a downside, is it's "boot" time. What I mean is, when it's in screensaver(all black but on) mode, moving the mouse to wake up the screen takes like 4 to 5 secs longer than the Predator. They're right next to each other. Also this isn't as adjustable as the Predator. It only tilts vertically. That's it. Not a deal breaker for me and my set up but it most certainly will be for others.

That's it.

The colors are better, the blue light reduction is better, text contrast is better.

I'm not trying to discredit peoples opinions on Newegg, it's just as bad as they make it out to be. At least with the unit I received.

Also, it has worked flawlessly with my 1080 Ti and Gsync.
