Put duct tape on yours or something similar to distinguish it. I don't personally care what my luggage looks like though so if you do that might bother you.

Great Deal. I got the Blue Lagoon. Had the 10% ebay bucks offer in my account. Plus used one of the cashback sites that sounds similar to ebay (tes) and referred a friend (my other account) so that I get $25 referral bonus and my friend (again me) gets another $10 plus 2% cash back.

So to do the math:

Total: 199 - 20% + Tax (NY) = 174.19
Ebay Bucks: $16
Refer Bonus: $25 + $10 = $35
Cashback Bonus: $3.50

Total I paid: $119.69
Where are you getting 2% cash back? Rakuten doesn't cover the category of "travel". So if you used rakuten you just got zero. I picked mr rebate for 1% instead.

personal preference i think. the fabric it has more give so you can squish manipulate force it in more, especially if you are trying to prove it fits in the cage that checks size. But hard shell is more difficult. i also think hard shell also will show wear and tear more, even if it doesnt warp or gets dented just teh bumps dings and scuffs show more. they do look cooler.

sold out, seller seems like just some guy in their house. has 80% feedback which is bad when it comes to trusting sellers. we'll see if those people get theirs

Will most airlines charge extra for the 29" luggage? If memory serves, most airlines limit to 62 inches (L+W+H).

This is my worry. I had cloth bags for decades, never ripped or broken, samsonite or other brands, no problems. I know airlines toss these like match boxes so I am worried about breakage. Yes sure they can replace it, but why go through the hassle, or spilled contents, etc..

Also these are generally heavier than the soft luggages. I really want to get some nice looking luggage, any suggestions? Nothing crazy look, just understated but decent, had enough of black samsonites, they are like dime a dozen and people confuse them at airports.

I thought the shiny/brushed black would make them look a little different. I also thought the polycarbonate was stronger and generally the same weight or even lighter than the durable soft sided bags.

I'm going to give these a shot and hope for a positive response.

That's rakuten (formerly Buy.com). I thought you might want to know that 2% was for certain categories on eBay, and this item is in "travel" and you're not getting anything from urlhasbeenblocked because it was not covered. So I did the right thing going to mr rebates for this.

I agree. For the total price paid its worth a shot. Previously had Soft luggage from walmart that was just over $100, worked well for 5 years until the airlines shredded the sides and front of it. Never had hardshell luggage before so hope this goes well. Just got notice mine shipped.
