I'll just pop in to say that I picked this up and played through the first few levels. The graphics are beautiful, the gameplay is fun, but holy crap you guys weren't kidding about the annoying rhyming dialogue.

The problem isn't that that they chose to do it in this poetic way, it's that whoever wrote it doesn't understand how poetry and rhythm works. It's literally just clunky dialogue where every other line ends in a forced rhyme. It's not a huge deal for me because my least favorite parts of JRPGs are the lines and lines of badly written story and I usually just skim them anyway, but it's shocking that they let something that bad through on a game that other people clearly put so much love and craft into.

It was a pretty decent game but I'm glad it wasn't longer than it is. It starts to get kind of grindy/ repetitive after a while.

The biggest single turn-off though is that every piece of dialogue is written in poetry. Like, really bad forced rhyming poetry. After the first hour or so I started skipping all story elements because I couldn't take it anymore.
It's funny because it's pretty self aware since one of the character in there gives you a clue that they are aware of this.
