How is this different than a phone and a aux speaker
Convenience, sound fidelity, adapts to ambient noise level, and a timer -- as explained here [youtu.be].

I vouch for the Sound+Sleep. No loop, and a lot of options for sounds (rain, brook, city traffic, etc). Great price on this.

I currently use a white noise app on my phone when I'm heading to bed. Is there a benefit to using this one over the one on my phone?

I worked in a law office where these were used constantly. Apparently I suffer from a disorder that causes extreme irritability around these machines. I highly suggest anyone with diagnosed metal disorders be very wary of these devices. Low sounds, hums, etc will cause me to hallucinate or overall just become a irritable person. Long term exposure especially when sleeping can literally drive some people to do insane things.

Took me a very long time to actually figure out what was triggering the episodes and I hope if anyone else has similar issues, this can help them also.
How did you confirm it was the noise and not the job? I imagine working in a law office would make me downright homicidal.

How is the micro LectroFan compared to the regular? I already own the regular which I bring along with me for travel but could use a smaller one.

- Much less power consumption -> noticeably lower electricity bill
- Portability in physical size and power compatibility through usb -> travel in europe, africa, asia&pacific
- Volume adjustment -> can get much louder and quieter than a fan
- Sound variety -> to your preference
Honestly, who's keeping up with their electricity usage based on whether their sound machine is a fan or just a speaker?

Edit: ahh, I'm guessing you were comparing an actual fan vs a sound machine. I thought you were comparing a fan based sound machine like the Marpac Dohm sound machine vs the Lectrofan. Nevermind here.

Maybe it was from just being around so many lawyers

not to mention that you might not want air pushed around your room... since it's assumed the person wasn't using a fan in the first place.

The racism expressed in these posts are making me uncomfortable.
Nah no racism. White is just the superior color of noise. The machines do Pink and Brown as well. Turn it off and you got Black too!
