Wrong. 8.83 runs great. I'd rather fix it every 4 months then all the other crap DVR solutions. NextPVR, MythTV, Plex etc are crap
Show me where Win 10 is working with WMC and DRM (Cable cards) after the anniversary update. I'd love to see it. I said win 7 or 8 is/was 100% better than screwing around with 10 trying to hack it in, was fun for a few months but- win 8.1 rock solid for me 2+ years.

Works with OTA only. Sorry. You're right. If you've got Win 7 or 8w/media center, keep it. One day you'll lose your guide data and the guys who are working on this Win 10 hack version are also are working on guide data from another provider. I'v got Win 8 pro w/media center too so if it ever goes south on Win 10 I can always revert. Win 10 is just sooo much better on updates which is why I have it installed.

Yes. The ISP provides no signal for this. The info pathway is broadcast station -> antenna -> HDHRC -> LAN devices. The only way an ISP may be involved is if you're using a third party app to get guide listings and program info.

I think it was a daily deal. It was in my email after OP posted.
If you send the video back out of your internet connection to your phone(not on your wifi) or to another location from your network then that data would apply to your data cap.
