Coupon code V5GBTWMI takes the item down to $11.99 which is cheapest since June 2018 ($10.60). Throw on some paracord and go fishing for magnetic items dropped at the bottom of lakes, oceans, etc. Highly suggest some good gloves to protect you from all the fish hooks you will pull up. Tons of youtube videos for those interested in the hobby.

How do those weight ratings work? Judging by the size of the magnet in the thumbnail, I have trouble believing something weighing anywhere near 300lbs could be pulled with it.

Ever use neodymium magnets before? These can easily lift a bike out of the river among many heavy objects. There are entire hobby sports built around this. Youtube magnet fishing. Here is an example: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d1UAwnrlXV0

Here is a video of cool stuff people have pulled up, including a bike, motor scooter, a ticket machine, mortar bomb, knuckle dusters, a couple of guns including a MAC10, a crossbow and a very large knife.

I though magnets lost their strength when beat on like when they snap on to an object. If that's true I wonder how long these would be effective.

I bought one of these and used it all day in a pond near me. It was a lot like regular fishing, meaning I didn't catch a thing!
