I don't think it's boring, it's intended to appeal to the curious though. There's allot of "bird watching" literally and animal hunting and it has allot of horse riding. If you want GTA or constant action I would stay away. It's one of the best games I've ever played though. If you liked rdr this is similar but 1000 times improved

Almost at my price point, might bite. So are any of the rumors true about the game getting boring due to aimless wandering around?

I have been playing since Jan and it can be boring at times but I haven't played all the different modes yet so I still have all the various pvp modes to try out. I guess the important thing is to get in and start grinding to level up so you can buy the better items. Rockstar hasn't help things by nerfing ways to make money or explore off the map (it revealed too much of their future plans with Mexico and Guarma etc.

This is a sandbox game. The beauty is you can choose to wander aimlessly or grind the missions. If you are the type of player that aggressively wants to finish the game as soon as possible, you can do it. Even the video cut scenes during the missions can be skipped.

I actually liked the ability to "wander aimlessly". The world iand environment is absolutely incredible. There are many vistas and look out spots replicated in an extraordinary way. I also liked the massive hunting element of the game.

One of the compelling themes of the game is having to constantly choose "good Arthur or bad Arthur". If you really want to get violent - wanted dead or alive everywhere, you have that freedom. I'll probably finish the game as good Arthur and then go back and play it again as bad Arthur.

I'm just talking about the story mode. I haven't even played online yet.

I've never played this game before, but I've been interested in checking it out. At this price, I will bite.

I do have a question for anyone who's played this: Are the side missions and extras in the Special Edition worth paying more for? The PS Store has the digital version of SE for $49.59 right now. Is it worth paying $15 extra for? I know the digital version won't have the map, unfortunately, but just wondering about the extra content.

Great price for a great game. There is a ton of game in the single player, and depending on your affinity for online play, even more time to be had. Easy buy at this price.

Can anyone recommend filler items to get it over $35?

This is sooo tempting but I must be strong! I hope by the time I finish my other games, this will be down to $20. Maybe a single-player dlc bundle.
