I'm new to steam (about 2 months into PC gaming.) Loving it. I usually get the $85 Xbox GC deal almost every time it gets posted. Sad part is I'd blow through this one in no time. I have so many steam games bookmarked.
It gets better! Stick Out Tongue

There are sites like humble bundle, fanatical etc that have regular sales on games, follow some steam groups and you'll get AAA for less than 50% after couple of weeks of its release and 75% off within a year.

I have 800+ games and can't remember the last time I payed retail. Winter and Summer sales are great time to buy due to the discounts + free cards for karma (steam level) whoring!

To bad the only games I want to buy are EGS exclusive otherwise I would jump on this for the Sumner Sale.

Otherwise I have so much back log I don't need to spend 85 on old releases but would of love to used this for BL3 and have left over for Dying Light 2 when it releases.

Not that I hate Epic but I have enough launchers and hate the idea of having franchises split across platforms.

Well, BL3 will be on Steam eventually. It's just a timed exclusive.

Just signed up for this site and purchased the power deal. If not enough people join the deal is it cancelled or do they charge you full price? I'm always looking for steam deals but have not seen any good ones in close to 2 years. Best I've seen are gift card re-seller sites which go for 5-7% off.

This is just one discount, i.e., only 1 card for $85, right? You can't pile on multiple cards for 15% off the whole thing?

Humble Monthly is actually only $12/month. Less if you pick up a year. And they often have a year + $20-$25 store credit or a year for $99, which are all great deals.

You are buying a card which once redeemed in your Steam account, will give you $100 in Steam credits. There is not much else to it.

My backlog is over 1500 games on my steam account. I have gotten to the point to never spend more than 20 to 30 dollars on a single game again.although if they had 50 dollar gift car for 35 I would go for it. I can think of better things to invest my money into for 100. Just my opinion

Do we know how many "committed" buyers we need in order for this "power deal" to be a "success"? New to MassGenie so apologies in advance.
