My Home Depot has displays setup for a free tool if you buy a P166 battery pack. The deal is not showing online yet.

Wow, that video is a horrible waste of time! He could have just taken half a dozen photos and conveyed all the info better -- instead he records 16+ minute video. I guess the latter boosts his youtube popularity/revenue better.
Yeah, fark him for giving us information no one else has yet

I believe it is also true for the 6Ah kit for $119. The sale starts tomorrow technically but a majority of stores have the train display setup and the deals are live in store for Ryobi days.
that deal was also last month. I bought that set for $119 too!

BUT...Home Depot had the 2-pack 4Ah Lithium PLUS on clearance for $70. I find a set at two different Home Depots. I'm going to return the 6Ah pack I got... $10/volt vs $8.75/volt,

Home Depot does have a video up online if you look at the pictures of some of the tools, like the planer
https://www.homedepot.com/p/RYOBI.../301289964
It states that there are over 50 tools. Sale dates May 16 - June 19

Are you sure the deal is live in store now? I thought it goes live tomorrow.
My store had the displays covered in black plastic. So YMMV.

If you think that video really provided much of any new information then you aren't paying attention -- AND (even if it did) you completely missed my point!

My store has the p237 as the free tool, so i guess it's unlikely they also do p238 free.

i would pay $20 diff to get the brushless p238 but doubt they will allow that.

If you want p238, just buy the p238 separately, with the $99 battery and whatever tool you pick. If you don't like that free tool you can always return it later.

most of the advertised free tool is meh

no brushless

i was hoping to get the p238 as the free tool

some other media outlets online people are saying anything $100 will be free but still no confirmation. if this is the case then the p238 and other brushless stuff may be had.
What I've heard, bare tools $99 and under will be free, and it's not limited to just what's on the display.

So you are returning HP batteries for the old style Lith+ batteries.

Best wishes on using those 4Ah batteries with brushless tools.
