My Home Depot has displays setup for a free tool if you buy a P166 battery pack. The deal is not showing online yet.

So... recommend a sander to me. There's the corner cat, 1/4 sheet, and 5" orbital in this deal. I'd be using it for drywall repair, paint prep (small areas, not whole rooms or anything), and other small, light usage.

Most stores have like 10 or less p238...I think it wont go as a free tool
it doesnt hurt to try with a lot of hearsay saying any tool $100 or less. And if quantities are limited best go right in the morning tomorrow

Yea, officially live tomorrow but HD is kind of sloppy with their sale days in store and when they start putting stuff out. Some stores had the Ryobi displays up Monday!

I'm just hopping the fogger is one of them. And that they get some bare-tool in stock finally.

Purchased 2 works lights, soldering station, and power inverter. All rang up without issue as free tool with battery pair. Each had to be separate transaction. Would have bought rotary tool but couldn't find it.

Any drill/driver available for this deal? I can't seem to find any on the lists other than a hammer drill and right angle drill which I'm not sure is what I need (just a regular drill)

I'm just wondering if anyone else is adding the the battery pack that's triggering the free tool in their cart and seeing an error message saying the store doesn't have enough stock even though they show plenty.

Not live at my store yet. Interested in the string lights and we'll keep an eye on other unlisted items

Just got back from HD, got two (the last two :-) ) 3Ah (edited, was 4Ah) battery kits and one free trim router and one free orbital sander. No worries and I even bought some other cordless tools that were cheaper and I still got the expensive ones free. The person at self check didn't give me any grief. I did two transactions, each on a different card (not sure if I needed to but didn't want any hassle).

You found two of these in-store and they worked with the free tool or was it a different 2-battery 4Ah package? https://www.homedepot.com/p/RYOBI.../204321540

It wasn't that one, it was this one [homedepot.com] (same link as OP) that came with the quick charger and stylish carry bag. It was in a special display that said you get a free tool as well. Some of the other displays (like the two 6Ah batteries for $139) said "Valid 5/16-5/xx) and on those I was told you can't get the deal until tomorrow, but this display didn't have a date on it.

Also note, and may have already been mentioned, but the free tools do not come with a battery.
