Not for nothing, but I'm going to be using duramax on my exterior porch.

I pressure wash blasted off a ton of the existing paint (along with a lot of bad mortar). 2 different blasts, removed even more paint by hand, then worked on various mortar tuck pointing and concrete problems revealed by blasting 75% of 50+ year old paint off.

I'll be priming the concrete and stone with Valspar concrete bonding primer then covering it with the duramax.

And yeah, this is taking forever. And it will, unless you are prepared to skip the prep.

You can always do what my neighbor did, don't pressure wash, don't mortar, don't fix and repair cosmetic problems with mortar rubber repair. Just basically paint over old paint. It looks like shit unless you are 30 feet away, but hey, he did get done quickly.
I am new house owner and I believe I might need to just pressure wash it and apply the paint. However which paint would you suggest?

What can pure white paint be used for? Unless this for a wall papered wall or a primer coat, I believe pure white will stain and show dirt easily.

For interior walls, I would recommend getting a an off white color like a navajo, cream or ivory whites.

I buy painter's edge on my contractor account (i flip houses) @ $14.49 per gallon - interior flat from Sherwin williams, 5 gals @ $72 so this doesnt even come close
Cheap Valspar interior flat @ $5 after rebate seems better than $15 for cheap SW interior flat. How did you figure it didn't come close?

Flat paint? No thanks. Covering up sub-standard dry wall finishing?

Isn't it better deal if you buy 5 1 gallons so you get 75 back than 1 5 gallon where you only get 45? Is there a limit maybe?

Can anyone recommend a good deck stain? New house and it would be my first time staining
I would recommend Cabot Australian Timber Oil. https://www.lowes.com/pd/Cabot-Au...oz/3173409

Lowes carries 4 different colors of Cabot Australian Timber Oil. I believe they are included in the rebate.

This is an oil based stain similar to the oil people used on boats and buckets in the old days. It penetrates the wood and protects the wood very well. I used on my deck and fence when I moved into my newly built house 11 years ago. My deck was built with cheapest pine wood as I planed to keep it for 5 years. Now 11 years later, my deck is still going strong.

You do need to re-stain it every year or even every 6 months if you live in an area with severe weather. However re-staining is not much work. Simply wash it with water mixed with laundry detergent in regular hose (no deck wash solution or pressure washer) and apply the stain using 4" brush. My deck is about 10'x23', it takes me 30 minutes to wash and 1 hour to re-stain. The only tricky part is that you need to find 3 consecutive non-raining days with temperature below 80 degrees. When you stain for the first times, it takes 2 times longer and also 2 times more stain to let the oil slowly penetrate the wood. Since it is oil based stain, it is not worth washing the brush. I throw my brush away when I finish. A 4" brush from Harbor Freight cost $1-$1.50.

I used almost 2 gallons of stain for the first time. Now after 11 years, I only need 1/4 gallon when I re-stain. My deck is still shining and beading up water with regular re-stain.

I believe primers are not included in this rebate, are they? First time painting the walls. Want to do just flat primer on the drywalled garage walls. May be get some satin valspar 2000 (which is included in this rebate) on the top of primer if I feel good about it.
I find Primer of no use. I been painting my house with same color and same coat. This year I go check, the paint is still there.
