That's good to hear. The 1010 would have been a great bedroom setup (for that low price range) if it was fully functional with an external sub.

The 1080 deal would be perfect for a bedroom imo.

No bass or treble control only sub bass control...I can't understand why so many soundbars have no eq adjustments including Polk and Klipsch and Yamaha..I won't buy a sound bar unless I can adjust the soundbars bass and treble..not everyone likes the "factory" setting

Can't really speak to comparisons but I have to keep this thing on low volume as the bass thumps. The ability to turn up voice (I assume it's the center channel feed) is pretty nice
I've had this for a couple of years now and really like it especially the voice boost feature.

Caveats:

1 - We use it in a room that is 15' x 15' and is devoid of fabric (carpet & curtains)

2 - My wife says that the subwoofer is too loud for her liking.

3 - The remote is problematic. It sporadically turns the sound bar off on it's own. I fixed that by removing the battery from the remote and just use our Cable remote to control it.

I was going to buy one for my 86 year old Mom but she just got Dish with the feature that sends the sound directly to her hearing aids.

Any more comments on quality? I'm not looking to blow out the neighbors. Just want something that's got good dialogue clarity. And "some" base. (I'm old!LOLApplause)
I'm happy with it. This is the "normal" deal price so I don't know if it's necessarily an amazing deal but it has great dialogue clarity and the ability to adjust that means you can find a balance which will make you happy.

It's also very thin and sits low, which makes it a great device to place in front of a low sitting television (which most of them are these days).

I'm hardly an audiophile though, I don't listen to music on it so can't really speak towards that. All I know is that I've had crappy sound-systems in the past and for my bedroom this thing is perfect.

This may distort at higher volumes given it's kind of small, I'm not sure I'd recommend it in a larger room; it may work in a small apartment style living room with low ceilings and a wall behind the couch.

I realize this deal may not be special, but it still seems pretty good. I'm excited about the extra sub and frankly just being able to make out dialogue on shows again.

I have a lot of issues with my MagniFi. It has this annoying "feature" that cannot be disabled where it shuts itself off if there is no sounds for a few minutes. When you come back and unpause your video there is a delay while it turns itself back on. What is more annoying, however, is that after a while (sometimes an hour, sometimes a few days) I have to unplug the soundbar and plug it back in or it will not respond to any commands (volume up/down, etc.). A quick Google search shows this is a common problem and when I contacted Polk they basically told me to get lost.

I'd buy something else.

Have you removed the batteries from the remote? That solved the second problem you described for me.

Yamaha with an aftermarket $100 sub is better. I have the Yamaha 1070 paired with a Polk PSW10 that I got for $100 and it blows every other soundbar away.
Same, I have the Yamaha 1070 with a sub wired up as well.

I don't like wireless subs since I live in an apartment with tons of wireless signals everywhere from everyone else living there so I would get interference.

I bought this in 2017, the first time this deal came up for $149. I have been using it daily since then. I love it. It works great. No issues. This is a great deal.

I've owned this for over a year, I wouldn't recommend it. Mine is now collecting dust as it doesn't work very well. It has weird connectivity issues where it is hard to get this thing to turn on and when it does turn on, it won't always stay on. Perhaps they have fixed these connectivity issues by now, but I wouldn't take the chance. I bought a different sound bar on clearance at walmart for much less and it is far better than this one. YMMV, but I wouldn't do this again even for 25 bucks.

I have this. Its ok. Other than the turning off issue, I always find music in shows to be extremely low to a point where you really almost miss it. The dialogue settings make it as such i think.
