Adorama always has the "sponsored" deals on here and usually regurgitate the same bs price. You're on top of it w/the nice references.

Can't really speak to comparisons but I have to keep this thing on low volume as the bass thumps. The ability to turn up voice (I assume it's the center channel feed) is pretty nice

Yamaha with an aftermarket $100 sub is better. I have the Yamaha 1070 paired with a Polk PSW10 that I got for $100 and it blows every other soundbar away.
Mhmm something new to learn for me.
I always thought soundbars come with those weak non external powered subwoofers.

I didn't know you could connect a traditional subwoofer like a psw10 with lfe singal.

Yes, most come with proprietary subs and don't allow it. But the Yamaha is an exception.

Mhmm thanks. That's good to learn. So are there several of such product or this is the only exception.

There are probably others. Just check for LFE Output on the back (used to connect to a typical sub)

Any more comments on quality? I'm not looking to blow out the neighbors. Just want something that's got good dialogue clarity. And "some" base. (I'm old!LOLApplause)

I had an older Yamaha ATS-1010BL sound bar and was a bit bummed to find out the internal "subs" turned off when an external powered sub was used. The sound bar sounded pretty full (for the price) without an external sub but lacked the low end impact. When using an external sub, there's was a noticeable lack of midbass. I'm not sure if that's the case with newer Yamaha sound bars though.

Not a problem with the 1070. Fills out the midrange and the sub blends seemlessly.
