This popped up in an email notification I had set up. Lowest price per the camel.

Looks like a good deal... Can't justify it though. In my >20 years of working on my own vehicles I have only replaced two exhaust hangers... and one was on a distant family members car.

I agree.A large screwdriver and some WD40, and some cursing has always worked for me.
I prefer bloody knuckles and a large screw driver.

My mechanic, Ted, didn't know about these...

until he was exhaust Ted.
That's because Dr. Bill Fold got in his wallet.

This is one of those tools that you don't know if you need it until you do. I've had some hangers come off fairly easily and I've had some that needed to be cut off after hours of cursing and bloody knuckles. YMMV

This is well worth it if you are a backyard mechanic. I cant express enough how fast this works. Its all about the right tool.

If you're going to use it once, channel locks (adjustable pliers) work well enough.

These were a lifesaver when I installed a new exhaust 6 months ago. A little (lot of) WD40 and this tool worked perfectly. Decedent price.

Also, I do not believe Autozone rents this tool out.

Good timing. Im taking off my catback tomorrow coz of a cracked hanger. These stainless mufflers are so soft. Happened twice already.
