I've got the M18 Fuel (non-One Key) regular version of this saw and I'm really debating upgrading as I've been cutting a lot more beams made out of engineered lumber but having a hard time justifying the cost.

I just bought one from Amazon using my Amazon Prime Chase credit card to save myself 5%. According to some YouTubers, this is one of the fastest cutting sawzall as of September 2018. Although it's about 12lbs heavy with the battery that comes with it ;/.

PTR says this saw averaged 9.12 seconds to cut through a nail-embedded PT 2x12 in their review, versus 19.28 for the One Key version of the regular Fuel saw.

I'm going through 6x12 PSL beams now, starting the cuts with a circular saw on both sides when I saw get a clean and safe cut, and it's still super difficult to cut the Sawzall through them quickly because of their location (cutting overhead or having to lean out with the saw).

Considered getting a chainsaw or this thing, but the weight might make the work too dicey or negate any advantage over the normal saw (I've got a 9.0 battery in there already so it's heavy).

Yea...hard to justify especially with the work you're doing. I'm just looking forward to using this to cut down tree branches that are in my way when mowing the lawn on my zero turn. Also intend to use this to help my brother-in-law with renovating his house he just financed which isn't occupied because the whole house needs a make-over.

I am really hoping for a similar deal on the chainsaw kit. I'm kicking myself for missing the one from a few months ago.

Was the chainsaw kit also $300? Can't believe I missed that if so.

It was cheaper -- price mistake had the chainsaw kit w/12Ah battery for $200-something. Early birds got it; most didn't.

Thanks for sharing! I think I'm going to pick this up since I have a charger. I was hoping for the 12ah battery but I think the 9ah will suffice since I won't be cutting massive trees.

There was also a recent deal for $399 for the saw, charger, and 2 12ah batteries.
