It's just a standard inkjet printer. Technically, most consumer inkjet printers are thermal inkjet because they have a resistor that heats up inside the cartridge.

Ok thanks! Was wondering if if worked like certain shipping label printers but this clears it up. Much appreciated ☺️

What's up with HP Instant Ink? Completely optional? Under no circumstances do I want an ink subscription with HP.

Are you required to get the subscription for the ink or can you buy your own?

Beware of overage fees., HP monitors your usage, Printer has to be online at all time, Cartridges may take 10 days to arrive.

I know an old couple who thought they would print very little but ended up paying about $1,000 in HP ink over a few year period, not all on the HP Instant Ink program but all with HP inkjet supplies.

Lol, I was intrigued and wondered the same thing... I was excited that there might be a newer, better technology for ink printers... Then a quick google search explained to me that "thermal ink jet'=bubble jet smh.
