Can you use these to buy the new Nintendo game vouchers? That would be a double whammy on savings if you could!

The eShop card gives you currency to use in the eShop, and Nintendo just announced in today's direct that the vouchers are available in the eShop. So, yes, I would imagine so.

What are vouchers?

Edit: From website: "Paid Nintendo Switch Online membership required at the time of purchase and redemption of the Nintendo Switch Game Vouchers. The Nintendo Switch Game Vouchers must be redeemed within 12 months from purchase date, have no cash value and cannot be transferred, returned or redeemed for cash. Each Nintendo Switch Game Voucher may be redeemed for one game offered as part of the catalog. To receive promotional value, at least one Voucher must be redeemed for a game priced at $59.99 or above at time of redemption. The Nintendo Switch Game Vouchers may not be combined with any other sale, discount, or promotional offer unless otherwise specified."

Confirmed, I used eshop credit (just like this) to buy two vouchers today (and also got 500 gold coins in the deal).

I always keep eshop credit in my Nintendo account as I grab deals like this whenever they come along. Prefer digital, and this is just about the only way to get discounts on new games. The voucher is a great added perk.

All these discounts stacking with vouchers pushes digital titles into the old Best Buy Gamer's Club 20% territory (actually a little better plus no tax).

Assuming you get discounted eShop cards, which is quite easy if you know where to look, and the claims of no tax on these vouchers are correct, it's actually a substantially better deal.

With $50 GCs for $42.50, you're buying the voucher for $85, which you then use to get $120 worth of games. With GCU you're paying $96+tax for those same games. Granted, you're also forfeiting resale value.

It's unfortunate that these vouchers appear to be only a temporary offer, but if Nintendo likes their impact then that could change.
