bought one last time about the same price, did not last for one year, cracked on the connection to the reel.

I would like to know why companies can't make a decent hose reel that doesn't freaking crack and fall apart in the sun after 1-2 years. I've tried so many brands and styles, and they always end up breaking after a short period. Freaking sick of it! Is there a good metal one out there that won't rust?

These are great for storing your heavy guage extension cords. I use them to hold my 14 guage 100 ft cord. Just put a tape in the middle and hook that part around the hose bib and retract. When needed you can then put the hose reel halfway between where it's needed and the jack in the wall. Keeps the chords straight and you don't scrape it on the ground as much

I would like to know why no one makes a hose reel with the handle on the left and the hose connection on the right.

This seems to be the typical issue with this. I have been needing a couple hose carts for awhile now, but they rarely seem to come up on deals. I am not excited about the plastic ones since they always seem to break. My last one was metal, but it's frame rusted through in a couple years as well. Guess these all are just over-priced junk that are meant to be replaced. Maybe it's time for me to look into a DIY option that has some longevity...

Not as cheap, but over time it will have been the same as buying 5+ plastic crap ones and you're spared the frustration. If you get the mailer, you can use the 10$ off 50, 20$ off 100, or 50$ off 250 coupons. The coupon codes are specific and one time use.

My wife would sure love that industrial looking hose reel in the back yard LMAO.

I'm thinking I'll just go back to the good ole $10 hose loop/hook you bolt to the hose and manually loop the hose over it.

I have a good metal one that bolts to house i got from lowes.
Item 155650.
$73.
I might have to get another for back as the expanding hoses just kink and piss me off. Wish still had coupon codes but i actually bought for $70 with $10 off $50 in 2016 as price was $80 at that time so really not bad @$73 imo. And its not ugly.

Bought this 1.5 years ago. Same deal and it's working out fine for me. Using the sears 100ft heavy duty hose.Wheels bend inwards due to the weight but still moves fine. Probably stays in the sun half of the daytime.

All you have to do is wind the hose from the opposite side of the reel. Wink
