Blower needs 5A or 7.5A battery to be practical.

It says 75 minute run time on low with included battery. How long on high with the 2.5?

Are we likely to see better prices on these for Memorial Day weekend?
The ad is out for that sale, it seems, and there is a lot of Ryobi and Scott's but I don't see any Ego mentioned.

The prices noted in this post don't seem to be that great. Can anyone agree?

I got the Ego mower and absolutely love it. I wanted to stay in the Ego ecosystem for trimmer, edger, blower, etc, but their stuff is just too expensive. Ended up going with Ryobi for that stuff. I think the prices of these will start dropping pretty significantly as Musk's gigafactory continues to bring new sectors online and ramp up production of the Li-Ion batteries.
What does tesla factory have to do with ego?

If I got the string trimmer back on 3/23 do you think I would be able to just bring the receipt in to have a price adjustment?
I think it's going to be up to manager's discretion. Just be cool with them, and maybe have a couple other items that you're buying to increase your chances.

I have blower model 400F46 which I power with the 2.5Ah battery that came with the string trimmer I also bought last year. After cutting my .25 acre yard or the wind clearing buds from my Maples onto my 85' x 18' driveway, the 2.5 battery has more than enough to clear the drive. Very practical for my purposes. My purpose or expectation is not to blow together all the leaves in my yard this fall. For that, absolutely, the 5 or 7.5 would be the ticket.

When Tesla stops buying all the batteries from Panasonic, the prices will drop so other battery products would be cheaper. Or atleast that is the hope, but we know how capitalism works.

Seriously? The gigafactory will be the biggest Lithium Ion battery plant in the world. Bigger than the sum of ALL other Li-Ion factories in the world. Since we're talking about tools that use Li-Ion batteries and are also a significant portion of the cost, flooding the market with more batteries will surely drop the price.

I wish the $70 refurb HT2410 hedge trimmer would come back in stock. Been waiting for that since they cancelled my order back in October.

I guess I could always buy it today then return it with the original receipt.

Do any of these trimmers work with the multi-head system that lets you add a hedge trimmer or pole saw head? I'm not sure how to tell what is compatible with that.

I'm leaning towards no unless you have concerns about the shaft breaking. The carbon fiber one comes with a lifetime warranty on the shaft. I thought it might be lighter too but if you look at the specs, the carbon fiber one is actually slightly heavier.

Edit: When looking at the Ego site, the carbon fiber bare tool is actually slightly lighter, 7.28 lbs vs. 7.34 lbs.
