Do any of these trimmers work with the multi-head system that lets you add a hedge trimmer or pole saw head? I'm not sure how to tell what is compatible with that.
Not these models but Ego does make one:

Home Depot has a pretty good return policy.
It's getting a lot worse where I am. One store claimed they don't take back anything that's been opened now. I tried to return a faucet handle in it's original baggy that'd been cut open halfway across the top... Except I bought it that way because I wasn't sure if it was going to be the right one or not, so didn't mind if it had already been opened. They claimed they'd never sell a product like that already opened. Argued with the manager and then went to another store to return it.

It says 75 minute run time on low with included battery. How long on high with the 2.5?
It may last that long on low, but I don't find low speed useful. It works with dry leaves on asphalt. High speed is needed for higher volume of leaves, anything damp, or larger leaves (maple) on a 2.5"+ cut lawn. The 5Ah goes maybe 15 minutes. The included 2.5Ah was useless on the blower, but decent on string trimmer.

I guess I could always buy it today then return it with the original receipt.
A tad shady... but not as bad as people that buy tools (like wet tile saws, etc.) and then return them when they're done because they won't pay the rental prices.

I wonder how much price difference that guy was talking about. If it's just ~$20-30, then I'd say just ask nicely. If they say no, it's not like they're going to miss a mortgage payment or anything. Live and learn, and move on.

Is the Carbon Fiber Shaft worth the price bump?
I think the only difference is about half a pound lighter.

I see people returning items/tools they wanted to "rent" for a project all the time. Buy, use $1000 item for a few weeks on a construction project, return when project is done. They're shameless, and it's obvious when gas tools or generators are returned, but the thing runs just fine and the air filter and oil shows high hours of use.

Blame them.

I wonder how much I can sell the battery and charger? I would like to get the carbon fiber shaft trimmer for close to$100.
Also, for $30 off on the chainsaw, is that a good price?

Probably about $75-100 for the battery and charger on Craigslist or FB.

Blower needs 5A or 7.5A battery to be practical.
2.5 works fine for me. I use the same battery for front and back, whacker and blower, about 3k sqft.

I have Kobalt mower, do you guys think I should stick with Kobalt to reuse the batteries. I was thinking of getting this:

Compared to the ones in this post which one is better? I'm new to this field.

The 7.5A is a bit too heavy for me on the blower. If I needed that much I'd get the backpack version. I'm able to get my yardwork done with the 2.5A.

I think ACE has it for $199 now so probably can do a price adjustment?
