Get a $5 statement credit by using your enrolled Card to make a single purchase of $30 or more, paid for at the pump, at U.S. Phillips 66®, 76® and Conoco® locations by 8/1/2019. Limit of $15 in total statement credits. See terms for exclusions.

OFFER TERMS
Enrollment limited. Must first add offer to Card and then use same Card to redeem. Only U.S.-issued American Express® Cards are eligible. Limit 1 enrolled Card per Card Member across all American Express offer channels. Your enrollment of an eligible American Express Card for this offer extends only to that Card. Offer valid for automotive fuel purchases paid for at the pump at U.S. Phillips 66®, 76®, and Conoco® locations only. Card must be swiped at the pump in order to be considered eligible. Excludes online, phone, or mobile app transactions, all other types of fuel purchases such as aviation fuel, Phillips 66 Lubricants Division, car wash and convenience store purchases located at gas stations, and purchases made at authorized retailers. Offer is non-transferable. Limit of 3 statement credits or total of $15 back per Card Member. The enrolled account must be active, in good standing and not in default to receive the statement credits. Statement credit will appear on your billing statement within 90 days after 8/1/2019, provided that American Express receives information from the merchant about your qualifying purchase. Note that American Express may not receive information about your qualifying purchase from merchant until all items from your qualifying purchase have been provided/shipped by merchant. Statement credit may be reversed if qualifying purchase is returned/cancelled. If American Express does not receive information that identifies your transaction as qualifying for the offer, you will not receive the statement credit. For example, your transaction will not qualify if it is not made directly with the merchant. In addition, in most cases, you may not receive the statement credit if your transaction is made with an electronic wallet or through a third party or if the merchant uses a mobile or wireless card reader to process it. By adding an offer to a Card, you agree that American Express may send you communications about the offer. POID: GDIY:0001

$30 in a single purchase at the pump?
I guess all the smaller cars can't use this.

National average is $2.85

You'd have to get 10.5 gallons. Pretty sure standard tank size even on compact cars is 11+.

Check 'Available' at the top of the offers page on a desktop browser. If it says 100, you are not getting new offers until the old ones expire. Add about 10-15 random offers to the card and refresh to get more offers!

Luckily I have a 76 near me AND the cash and credit prices are the same...and its cheaper than most other stations. So this is a great offer for me. Win some lose some...at least you get to live in NC and I'm stuck in NY!
