Once, I was given a Bank of America cashier's check from Merrill Lynch. The check actually had the Bank of America emblem on it. Also,Merrill Lynch and Bank of America are the same company

So i go into a Bank of America, they would NOT cash it because i did not have an account.
I called Bank of America and it was impossible to connect to talk to a real person.
So i go into another Bank of America, maybe the first BofA bank had management issues. The second BofA bank said the same thing, No account, they wont cash their own check.

Drove to my bank the next day, no issues

The point is , i dont want nothing to do with Bank of America. NOTHING to do with them

Umm dude its like that with any bank. You MUST have an account at the bank where you are cashing the check so if there is an issue they have recourse and can take action against you. Doesn't matter if its their bank check or not. Which is the very reason why your bank, where you have a checking account, was able to cash it for you.

Note: I am not vouching for BoA, I hate them with all my guts. Just replying about a general bank rule.

I had an account with Merrill Lynch, Merrill Lynch and BofA being the same company. I cancelled my Merrill Lynch account on the issue. So they lost business. Now add any potential future business i may have done with B of A, will never happen. I have zero confidence doing business with B of A.

Clicking through to find ideas to meet the 3k spending, but I don't think I've seen discussion on that. What do you guys do to meet those spending? I can't pay my rent with, and I'm pre paying my internet already. The first and last time I tried MS, I was caught by chase lol.
